Reality: The shift is on. Gen X/40 yr olds are largest age groups on some Social media

You may still be of the paradigm I was 18 months ago, until my team dragged me kicking and screaming way deep into the world of social media (Facebook, Twitter, delicious, etc.) and the power & impact, if used in moderation (like anything else!) it can have on your organization’s growth and reach.

Here’s a shocker: Most people I know still don’t know what Twitter is, and those who do think it’s another one of the 199 (yes, 199) social media platforms that must just be “for those 20-year old and teens”! Nope. Biggest demographic (age) using Twitter regularly? Brace yourself…40-year olds, according to the Times & CNN…
